Now Dr. Fauci is claiming in an interview with @marthamaccallum that the modeling had no impact on the decision.

"Just take a look at what happened in China. In Italy."

Blah, blah, blah.

I'm over this joker. He's just too dishonest for me.
Wait, wait...

Dr. Fauci now tells @marthamaccallum, when asked about Japan, that "you have to be careful when you compare countries with different sizes and different populations."

No $#!t, Sherlock!

Maybe comparing the U.S.A. to France and Italy wasn't the best call?
Then...

Dr. Fauci, less than a minute after warning @marthamaccallum not to compare "countries w/ different sizes and populations," says she should look at "what happened in China" not Japan.

Oh, dear God. It's funny. But it's not. It would be a joke if it didn't hurt so many.
Just so you're clear @marthamaccallum on what Fauci says, it's okay to compare China to the U.S., but not Japan.

Got it?

This is the retardation of sound statistics. I mean that in the truest sense of the word. I'm stunned at the ease in which this guy can try to BS people.
I think that I may finally be able to explain why otherwise intelligent people whom I respect, cannot see through the Fauci Fog.

You might have to be a New Yorker to spot a BS artist from New York. Or, at least it gives you a head start.
Look, I defended Dr. Anthony Fauci vs. those who criticized him for a journal claiming COVID-19 was no worse than a flu, just before he told us millions would die W/O social distancing.

I did B/C he wrote that weeks before.

But today he made three blatantly false statements...
The first false statement involved the risk to the under 25 age group, in response to @GovRonDeSantis weighing the reopening of schools.

That was the use of deception for good ole' fear-mongering, which I addressed already w/ data, starting here. https://twitter.com/Peoples_Pundit/status/1248689561405882371
The second false statement was that models did not impact his decision-making process when he gave his recommendations to President @realDonaldTrump.

Bogus.

And while he offered a CYA caveat at "the" presser, he then went on myriad shows citing 240k WITH mitigation projections.
The third false statement was that it was somehow credible or legitimate to look at China to inform our projections, but not Japan.

That is false for multiple reasons, not the least of which is data from Japan being more trustworthy than data from China.

The only true...
The only true statement he made to @marthamaccallum is that you do have to be careful comparing the populations of different nations.

That's been the entire point.

China was NOT comparable to the U.S., and neither was Italy, i.e. former has poor hygiene and latter poor health.
