Im seeing A LOT of ppl who were sick sometime between dec - feb saying they're "pretty sure I already had it." Some even suggesting *most* ppl likely had it already so we should open things back up. But without an antibody test there is literally NO way to know it wasn't the flu. https://twitter.com/summerbrennan/status/1248458481092321282
I've been sick w/ bilateral pneumonia for over a month now, with symptoms that suggest COVID19, yet my Dr has been painstakingly clear I need to operate under the assumption that this was *not* COVID19, but rather Flu B, unless I see a confirmed antibody test to prove otherwise.
Why? B/c without a test there is literally NO way to tell the difference between COVID19 and either a strain of the flu or a host of other respiratory illnesses. And the only way to keep myself safe right now is to assume I HAVEN'T had it, and that I have no immunity whatsoever.
So please for the love of God, even if you think you *might* have had it already? Behave as if you didn't until you get an antibody test (which isn't widely available yet.)
