So... I know some cities are talking about preventing ppl who experience homelessness from catching Covid19 but is anyone talking about what to do for them economically? If someone makes their living from asking for money on the street, what do they do when no people are out?
Me and a barista at another coffee shop were talking about this today. Her shop is on one of Abqs busiest streets but it’s dead now. And we are wondering what we can do to help people but we have no idea where to start
And I’m trying to find out if anything can be done but so far all I’m seeing is articles about keeping these folks safe from covid 19. Which is important. But what are they supposed to do for money and food when everything is closed and no one is out?
Plz feel free to share links and resources here. I wanna help people but I’m in over my head here
I think I have an answer to the question. The answer is nobody is doing jack shit. And it makes me really fucking angry
Love that its me and my poor friends asking what we can do. Lmfao I literally had a lady tip me a quarter today. Thanks Barbara I’ll try not to spend it all in one place
