I’m on #furloughleave next week, so this will be my keep-busy project.
Every build starts the same way. I dry fit everything to ensure all the components are correct and I account for some modifications. (I’ve added a third centering ring and a motor retainer and cut off a 1/2 inch sliver to be used for my fin can install.)
Then it all gets weighed and spec’d so it can be input into the computer simming program later.
So now I’ve moved on to building the motor mount assembly. I’m using a variety of adhesives throughout the build based on what components I’m joining. For this step, I’ll use strong wood glue. (An adhesive is only as strong as the materials it’s joining.)
