I just cant believe that Lucasfilm thought it would be a good idea to make a large part of the trilogy about a doomed, tragic romance of Rey & Ben and make it so that Ben apparently had to die and thought, "Wow, this is what fans want to see as an epic, satisfying conclusion!"
And "Let& #39;s kill off all the Skywalkers one by one! So satisfying, hopeful, and happy!"
And "Let& #39;s make it so Leia never gets to reunite with her son! Only in death, which we won& #39;t even show!!" (Both of which could have been done, as fan edits have proven)
And of course, "Let& #39;s destroy narrative cohesion and logic by making Rey a Palptine with a backstory that makes no sense in the very last movie! Let& #39;s allow JJ to do that, even though we allowed Rian to make her a Nobody already!"

And while I& #39;m at it: "We& #39;ll keep telling people Star Wars is about family, even though we are exterminating an entire family. But don& #39;t worry, we& #39;ll have Ben& #39;s replacement call herself a Skywalker, even though she& #39;s all alone & therefore the bloodline still ends when she dies."
