Among the many other things reinforcing the sense of institutional inequalities in academia is the mind boggling rush of access that has come from databases allowing nom-subscribers to use them during the coronavirus social distancing.

Y'all have access to this all the time?

Just another reason I am grateful for the #twitterstorians community and how generous they are sharing materials, but WOW the disparity of access is vast.

This is why I appreciate academia dot edu despite its clear flaws. Some of us really need it.
