Reasons why FT& #39;s scene is so devastating:
- FT was confused because he was purposely left in the dark by TT. FT loves TT so much and hearing TT saying to his face that everyone is just trying to hurt him, and FT doesn& #39;t understand him is a slap to FT. +

+ TT didn& #39;t give him a chance to understand him, to share his pain, and to protect him.
- FT& #39;s voice breaking when he asked TT if he regretted everything they had. That was FT& #39;s happiness and courageousness (in facing his sexuality) being invalidated.

- FT looking for an inch of hope in TT& #39;s eyes, that TT is unwilling to let him go, that there& #39;s still something they can do to save what they have, but TT gave up.
- FT clutching TT& #39;s hand and forcing himself to let go at TT& #39;s plea. His hopes crumbling down.

- FT saying he understands when in fact nothing makes sense as he was just left hanging. Just to let TT feel at ease.
- FT, a proud guy who doesn& #39;t know how to apologize, blaming himself & apologizing for making TT uncomfortable as if everything was his fault.

- FT pushing himself to smile just to send off TT the best way he can. Telling TT to smile because after all, "he& #39;s happy when TT is happy".
- FT with no choice but to let go, walk away, and accept this cruel break up without a fight.
