Marylanders,

Without a doubt, you & your family are going to want to celebrate Easter or Passover this weekend with family & friends who live outside of your home. We want to remind you that #COVID19 won't stop spreading in order for us to celebrate holidays, birthdays, etc. . .
. . .We must not let our guard down. Each of us must do everything IN OUR POWER to continue to practice physical distancing despite whatever celebration. If we let our guard down during holidays, birthdays, etc., then all of this social distancing will have been for nothing. . .
This is disheartening to hear & even harder to do. We understand the tradition to invite loved ones outside of your home over to celebrate birthdays, holidays. Please know it's not easy to send this recommendation, but this week/weekend will be KEY for us to slow the spread. . .
Don't think of Easter, Passover, & other celebrations as 'canceled', rather an opportunity for us to come together using creative ideas to spend time together while maintaining a physical distance. It's more important than ever to celebrate w/ out-of-home families & friends;
Phone calls & video chats are great ways to enjoy others' company while also combating the spread of #COVID19.

Your State agencies will continue to respond to this crisis during the week & weekend. We are here & activated 24hrs, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. #CelebrateAtHome
