This is a civil liberties NIGHTMARE, not to mention the thought of unsolicited, unstoppable data transfer to/from stranger's devices makes me want to dip my phone in electronic bleach.
Yes, contact tracing is critical to stopping SARS-CoV-2, but if you think governments and law enforcement won't use this, you're deluding yourself. Why do you think China already HAD a system like this? What about the next HIV, with a social stigma? What about dissidents?
