That cooperation is based on a level of social trust, which lets us work through difficult challenges and issues, but might sometimes require that we actively talk that through and hear people’s concerns.
It’s great that part of our approach was to set up a Select Committee led by the Leader of the Opposition. The conversations and scrutiny that enables uphold transparency, and help support trust in the use of extraordinary powers.
