I told my kids I can fly today. And I’m sorry, I know dads aren’t supposed tell anyone the truth about what we can do. I didn't mean to say it. But in case it gets out, I wanted you all to hear the truth right from me. I was the one who told someone.
My kids promised not to say anything. They promised that if anyone asks if their dad can fly they will tell them “Absolutely not! What a crazy thing to say.” But you know kids. Who knows.
And before anybody asks, no, I NEVER showed them I could fly.
I know this is a huge breach of trust to all the other dads and I can’t apologize enough. I know what a special day it was when my dad showed me he could fly the night I had my first child. And I never want to take that moment away from anyone.
But honestly, I do think about the dads without fathers of their own. The ones who have no idea they can fly. I feel for them. If this is you, talk to another dad. If they stonewall you, or treat you like you’re crazy, that’s how you know it’s true. You can fly, and so can they.
And if you’re not a dad. Please don’t read this thread. Thank you. And I'm sorry.
