I presume the province will eat the costs for centres/programs run by municipalities. Will non-profit centres be able to get Canada Emergency Business Account loans from mainstream banks or will banks prefer to lend to for-profit clients?
I'm not sure that QC's musing about reopening centres soon because "kids don't get the virus" is terribly helpful either.
But if the supply of childcare drops (centres unable to meet rent, lost staff so can't meet staff-kid ratios, ++), many fewer parents will be able to return to work and it'll be the moms that take the worst of the economic hit.
