It began Friday 13th March (typical). My kids had been to GP for tonsilitus so I just presumed that my sore throat was the same.

Over the weekend feeling unwell and very cold, unable to get warm. I did NOT have a temperature. (2/9)

The cough started 16th followed by non stop chest pain.

It feels like my lungs are being grated raw, or like I was breathing in fire. Burning chest & back pain. Fatigued, no energy. No restful sleep, felt like I was more in & out of consciousness. Loss of smell & taste (3/9)

18th March - GP & referred for #Covid_19ireland testing
23rd - Back at GP as symptoms worsened. I wasn't high risk category so was sent home.
25th -Tested #Coronavirusireland
8th Apr- Results, 2 wks later!

I was effectively bedridden from 19th March until 2nd April. (4/9)

Husband & kids are asymptomatic, which is good but it's a stark reminder that feeling well doesn't mean you dont have it so #StayHome

Husband had to drive me for test (kids in the back) bc I was too weak to drive myself. When I was in car waiting to be called in, I looked across the street and got so mad. People out for walks in the TOWN, going about daily business...

... getting coffee from filling station (non essential), kids playing on green, neighbours & friends stopping for a chat, one even patting a kid on the head! Physical distancing meaning nothing to them while across the road I was struggling to breathe.

Its an absolute awful dose. I am 38, non smoker, no underlying conditions. I am in low risk category but I got it & almost 4 wks later, I'm still battling it.

You dont want this. You dont want to give this to someone you love. So, please, cop on & #StayHomeSaveLifes! (9/9)
