Sources confirm to ESPN that Donovan Mitchell's desire to get away from Rudy Gobert is "100% legit". Among other issues, Gobert would frequently kiss Mitchell on the lips at random times in the locker room. Many believe this is how Mitchell contracted the COVID-19 virus.

Mitchell even went to Jazz GM Dennis Lindsey to try and get Gobert traded. "I can't keep playing with this fruity Frenchman" Mitchell told Lindsey. Lindsey stated he would not be trading Gobert for kissing teammates, since doing so could be seen as homophobic.

One day after practice, Mitchell went up to Gobert and told him, "if you try to kiss me again, I'll kick your ass." Gobert responded, "c'est tout ce que tu veux faire pour mon cul?" which is French for, "is that all you wanna do to my ass?"

Once it was confirmed Gobert tested positive for COVID-19, he was "terrified" that people would think he's gay. Gobert made an announcement in front of the entire team where he said, "The kissing was just a prank. I love boobs" source tells ESPN.
