After slaughtering Bosniaks in Bijeljina & Zvornik in the first days of April 1992 Yugoslav national army in mid-April the same year, with the help of serb terrorist units from Serbia and Bosnia, occupies city of Bratunac (70% Bosniak majority).

In hotel "Fontana" local Bosniaks were informed that a majority Bosniak town became so called "serb municipality" and that serb-law will be implemented from that point on, JNA soldiers from Novi Sad were scattered around the municipal building.

Then, the serb terrorists started arresting locals, they arrested around 3000 Bosniaks. Those Bosniaks were led to a local Football stadium where they separated men from woman. They were told to hand over all their valuables,money and jewelry ,and whoever refuses will be killed.

They packed woman into buses and around 700 males in a local school gymnasium. In the next few days more than 300 men was forced into the elementary school, the executions and torture carried by the serbs were non-stop.

From the 10th till 14th of may in the school and around the school, around 600 prisoners were executed in cold blood by the members of paramilitary units from serbia, local serb leadership gave all orders.

From the 25th-27th of april 1992. Muslim population of village "Glogova" was being forcibly disarmed, parallel to that the same act was done to villaged Suha, Voljavica and in the city itself, that was a crucial element in permanent extermination of Muslims from east Bosnia.

The forensics teams located more than ten mass graves In area of Bratunac that testify the sheer scale of crimes perpetrated in 1992. In the grave site "Veljaci" in Bratunac, up until now more than 240 skeletal remains were buried, more than 40 of them were kids.

In mass grave "Suha" they found bodies of two kids with their mothers in their arms, and even a body of Zekira Begić that was 9th months pregnant. The age of kids found in mass grave ranged from 3 months up to a few years.
