...I honestly don& #39;t know how @Care2much18 has patience to keep explaining this to folks. My new acid test: if the person opining can& #39;t give a working definition of sensitivity, specificity, & how they relate to prevalence, their confidence outstrips their understanding

Final point - don& #39;t try to spin it as you being pro medical scientists but against government handling. Government is actually doing precisely what scientists & doctors are advising. As they should. This is an unprecedented challenge & hot takes not helpful.
