#GalileoGameScope Bryan Edwards Scouting Report
Edwards competitiveness and physicality are up there for best in class. He's a "My Ball" Beast and brings an alpha mentality that makes him one of my favorite prospects this year.

It's often forgotten, but Edwards owns some of the best #SCTop10 highlights you'll find. Bryan's #ArrogantHands allow him to achieve the spectacular. And truly spectacular, is special at any level.
Beyond the flair, Edwards is a tough, physical player. You've seen AJ Dillon toss defenders like this, but getting this disrespectful attitude from your wideout brings a little extra motivation for a team. Edwards was a fearless warrior against top competition in the SEC.
We'll often see a team's best playmaker at punt returner. Although he wasn't prolific, he had the coaching staff's trust back there, unique for 6'3" 215 pounder.
After the catch, Edwards tears through weak tackles and has enough juice to make things happen.

Unable to boost his draft stock due to a foot injury, Edwards speed looks to be in the 4.5 forty range. Beating Trevon Diggs (no 40 time) and Georgia corners downfield is a worthwhile note. He's a gifted athlete who falls in the "fast enough" category for potential outside WRs.
There were a high amount of miscues between Edwards and his QB, and I wouldn't put it all on the passer. Not a huge concern for me, but speaks to what he's having to adjust to and how it might have affected his production.
We'll take this route as an example. He wins with a great release, beats the defender upfield, sinks his hips beautifully, QB rushes throw and it bounces off Edwards hands. Tough catch gotta have it?
The hip sink is real though, look at the big man sit down! An underrated component of his athleticism.
Lateral agility is very important, and I don't think he has a lot of it, but he can chop & drop with the best of em.

No play captures this unfortunate QB dynamic more than the final seconds of the App State upset at home, where the QB missed a wide open Edwards for the game winner (he catches it btw).
When he wasn't getting thrown into bushes, he was tolerating a "run 1st, pass 4th" backup QB.

I saw more wiggle and physicality in his releases than what I've read elsewhere.
There's certainly stiffness in his hips and he doesn't create lateral displacement well, but he's quick enough and uses his strength to bully for position. Again, "enough" to work with.

During the route, Edwards has excellent awareness and command over his personal space. Here, he does fantastic work, keeping constant hands while pressing downfield, and his well-timed leap beats the defender at the catch point. Key outside receiver trait.
At the catch point, the man is a master at creating late separation. Subtle hands push defender away at last possible moment. Good concentration, strong grip and great body control finish the play. As a contested catch winner he shows everything we want to see.
Edwards has my 6th highest trait grade in the class, earning a bonus over Mims and Higgins for his aggressive ability after the catch. Lateral agility isn't a specific grade, but he gets knocked a bit in Route & Release categories, even though he did well at the college level.
Analytically, Edwards is an easy prospect to love. Everyone loves a Freshman Breakout. Doing it in the SEC is gets you in a group with some fun names. His college Production Score ranks 4th in the class.
I'm expecting a bit of slide into the 3rd round range. Eagles, Chiefs, Giants, Jets feel like good fits that would line him up across a speed threat and allow him to work his game on the outside and over the middle.
