In the last few months, I've binged The Repair Shop, read the first 18 months of Wonder Woman, and have bought the occasional US WWII poster, and one thing has been driven home to me: With strong, effective leadership, people CAN pull together for a common good.
(If you haven't watched The Repair Shop, this makes contextual sense because every fifth item that is brought in to the shop went through the German bombings or brought comfort to a child when they were taken away from their London families to avoid bombings)
I wish we had better leadership on the national level, but instead, we have governors assuming that mantle. I wish our president could look us in the eye and say "This will be hard, but we will overcome" and draw comfort from it. But we can't. So it's up to one another.
You're all great. You are all loved. This is difficult, and when it is done, we will come together once again.
