#Kidlit Muslim Authors - a couple of times I've seen sketches of an upcoming PB where my young female character wears hijab and I'll usually tell the illustrator there's no need for hijab at such a young age; if the big sister, mom, grandmother wear hijab, great! Just me?

I love hijab in books and wear hijab, but I want to make sure it's portrayed accurately. I know some younger children choose (or may be told) to wear hijab full time at a younger age, but wondering what you say when you see a young (say 1st - 3rd grade) character in hijab in PB?
