I& #39;m very excited to be joining @USofDisaster& #39;s #COVIDcalls tonight with @germsinhistory to talk about pandemic and disaster history. We start at 5 Eastern Time, and you can join in via Youtube Live. https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCgxa_-w98BhAIiwbw2dxKlQ/featured">https://www.youtube.com/channel/U...
I& #39;ve been thinking a lot about the place of history and the role of historians at a time like this, obviously, but especially since I wrote this thread. https://twitter.com/jacremes/status/1247145077379682306?s=20">https://twitter.com/jacremes/...
I& #39;m excited to think through, in public and with two other historians, some of the questions I have about how to do "another time we went through this" history, "how did we get here" history, and "I need inspiration" history all at the same time.
I don& #39;t think there was any better preparation for being a disaster historian than being trained as a labor and working-class historian. At @lawcha_org, the constant, explicit mission is to write and disseminate a usable past for the labor movement.
