We should move away from ‘Democratic Socialism’ as an ideology & back to regular Socialism. Socialism is inherently democratic—don’t need prefix. ‘Democratic Socialism’ accepts the liberal lie that socialism isn’t democratic & commits to retaining the undemocratic bourgeois state

All ‘Democratic Socialist’ projects have failed because ‘Democratic Socialism’ is just liberalism—it retains the fundamental basis of capitalism which is the liberal bourgeois state & doesn’t commit to the political rule of the working class but rather ‘everyone’ (inc exploiters)

For the Democratic Socialist they want to create a system that works for ‘everyone’—same line as the liberal. Yet ‘everyone’ under capitalism includes the exploiters, landlords, etc. We can only have a system for ‘everyone’ once class is abolished—requires working class rule.

‘Democratic Socialism’ was born of the anti-communist myth that regular socialism (the scientific socialism of Marx) was ‘authoritarian’ (lie) because it demands the destruction of the old bourgeois forms of parliamentarianism (false democracy) to be replaced by workers democracy

Socialism as originally conceived is democratic already. The common ownership of production, distribution, & exchange under the political rule of the working class is the most democratic form of society available right now until communism can be built. We need to fight for this.
