I went through 2 days worth of quote tweets to trace the origin of the harassment campaign against @SweetBeans99 so you don't have to. Forgive me for ignorance of players involved, I'm not an artist, I'm an antifascist but it seems so other artists have it out for Mal. Thread

Mal posted the comic at 1:27 PM EST April 8th. The first quote tweet came at 2:23pm from a supporter who noted the ratio-ing was already well underway meaning the harassment first originated in a private group chat or forum on another site

Some of the first tweets to engage in the dogpile seem to have been pissed at her for a past comic called "New Guy" which made fun of P*wdiepie fans for crying over the Youtube Nazi-promoter's mugging in December

The first big uptick of viral harassment came from @/SweetBeanAmin, a twitch streamer, of whom I know nothing about but given the backlash to Mal from his fans, probably not a good person

From there, more reactionary posters started boosting the tweet for harassment, some decrying "wokeness" others expressing hostility to LGBT & even being incredibly racist CW: slurs

The second uptick came at 9:04pm EST from a familiar face: Stupidpol dipshit @/viperwave. They're hang around the intersection of weeb twitter & Dirtbag Twitter so then this when things really start to balloon

I could post more screens but really you get the idea. The harassment began from other internet artists who obviously have an axe to grind with Mel for her "New Guy" comic. The fact that stupidpol then got a hold of it proves our point again that those shits are Nazi-adjacent

All the Dirtbag/Stupidpol trolls who always wonder why I already have them blocked when they try to harass me should know that the only thing I did was run a blockchain on @/fooly_cooly aka @/mashcore4mums.

Fooly Cooly had 5k followers at their height, all I needed to do was block all their followers & it effectively choked off harassment. Why these chuds are following a weird British Nazi weeb who spent his time defending gamergaters says much about the internet circles they're in

Most of these people come from 4chan, Reddit or Something Awful. They operate in the same online circles as the alt-right which is part of the reason we focused so much on cutting off those pipelines. Frankly though, you don't have to worry about that chud anymore. /end
