There seems to be considerable overlap between those who think we should be more worried about the economic costs of a coronavirus lockdown and those who thought we should not be worried about the economic costs of Brexit.
A phrase I've used looking at trade politics - "Adam Smith doesn't write trade deals" - can easily be used on coronavirus. We don't fully know the economics, but the politics have demanded lockdown in virtually all countries.
Easing coronavirus lockdown similarly. As our resident sage suggests, you can get plenty of scientific opinion, we can add in economic forecasts, but ultimately this is going to be a political decision. https://twitter.com/Sime0nStylites/status/1248639290625667079
