Interview w/G.Yefremov, "director emeritus/chief designer emeritus" of NPO Mashinostroyeniya:
https://www.militarynews.ru/story.asp?rid=2&nid=433728&lang=RU

There is a number of future projects.

Main stuff in a thread:

1/
They've filed a patent on "orbital cleaning" - a technology of non-operational GEO satellites removal by another "satellite" launched in the opposite direction.

(I've did some basic research on this stuff, and it is much more fun than that, stay tuned)

2/
Other space-related patents include orbital refuelling and orbital repairs. And one more to fix a special inflatable device on any satellite, so it will be used to be de-orbitted once its operations are complete.

3/
No need for super-heavy SLVs. No need for manned flight to Mars, Venus or Jupiter, nothing waits for humans there. Manned flight itself gives some data though.

Moon - just talking at the moment.

4/
NPOMash is involved in Sarmat heavy ICBM payload. Initially Yefremov suggested to simply replicate Voyevoda, but with new control system, bus and RVs.

5/
Strange one by the interviewer: "Putin ordered to increase range of BrahMos". Did they mean Oniks? Probably. Anyway, Yefremov says that range increase will be related to more efficient use of the available fuel, but the main push should focus on the missile's "intelligence".

6/
#hyperhype time!
Two types of "hypersonic": "motorized" and "non-motorized". "Motorized" starts from Mach 4.5, before that - "supersonic". There is no motorized hypersonic anywhere in the world, although many are working on it.
Biggest challenge - sustainable burning...

7/
...(Ramjet - subsonic flow, scramjet - supersonic flow, if it makes sense)
Specialists are interest in rocket-powered rather than air-breathing "rocket-planes" (I know "ракетоплан" is sometimes translated as a "boost-glide vehicle, but not sure it is the case here).

8/
"Non-motorized" hypersonic weapons is another deal, everyone working on it as well, it is a separate field, free from "motorized hypersonic" challenges.

(Ithese "motorized"/"non-motorized" sound not very English, but "self-propelled" does not seem appropriate as well)
