Hey, everyone. Day 12 is here!
I have drafted a list of movies I like to watch whenever Iā€™m feeling down. Hopefully they can cheer you up when you need it, too.
First off, I have Ferris Buellerā€™s day off and The Princess Bride: two fucking hilarious movies that remind me of my childhood.
Next, weā€™ve got Mrs. Doubtfire and The Breakfast Club. These films always make me chuckle and have a satisfying ending, if you havenā€™t seen them. I find them extremely realistic (well, for the most part), and because of that, I enjoy sympathizing with the characters.
And now we get to Little Miss Sunshine. It has one of my favorite actors, Steve Carrell, and he gives a great performance in this movie as he does with all his others. It is a heartwarming story about family that demands a watch. As for clueless; itā€™s a classic.
Time for Catch Me if You Can and The Birdcage. Two fucking entertaining movies. CMIYC never fails to wrap me in as I follow Mr. Abagnaleā€™s crazy (and TRUE) life story. The Birdcage is another cult classic; Robin Williams and Nathan Lane put on a great show in more ways than one.
Next up we have Clue & Lars and the Real Girl. Tim Curry never fails to make me fucking lose it, so I had to include Clue. As for LATRG, Goslingā€™s performance will tug at your heartstrings & show sympathetic sides of you you may not have realized you had (at least it did for me).
Office Space and Enchanted. Two movies that always cheer me up. I once had a boring office job, so Ron Livingtonā€™s performance in Office Space always hits home with me. As for Enchanted, I have always appreciated fairy tales; even the obscure ones. Also, the songs are catchy.
Next up we have The Truman Show & Rocky Horror Picture Show: two of my fucking favorite movies of all time. The Truman Show is a must watch, guys. It is beautiful and thought provoking. As for RHPS, itā€™s fucking hilarious. Watch it. These movies have a special place in my heart.
Lastly, we have Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse. I never thought that I would appreciate an animated film as an adult, but here I am. This movie is fucking gorgeous and has a great soundtrack. Give it a watch with your family.
And that concludes my movie recommendation thread. Thank you @Cyberwench3 , @sharkcatzz , @saphicforballot , @kylosgal , and everyone else for your input. I hope you guys give these films a try and let me know how you feel about them. Donā€™t say it often, but I love you guys.
