The Dark Side of @burningman (A Thread)

Last year I attended the infamous @burningman event in the black rock desert. Before going I was under the illusion this was a place of good music, art and self expression but was unaware of the dark side behind the festival limits.

Yes, @burningman can serve as all of the above a place of good music, art and self expression but there are other and safer places to pursue these kind of experiences elsewhere.

Behind the art and music, there is a cult like aspect that are behind some of @burningman camps which should be brought to the attention of the public and future BM goers.

The culture of derogatory sex, drug and substance abuse is highly prevalent at this event. As many, unconscious and intoxicated adults run around the “playa” engaging in harmful and human degrading activities.

This place is less about self expression and more about adults flocking to a area where they have no responsibilities and are not held accountable for there action.

Here I witnessed people engaging in all sexual acts in the light of day. Drug abuse, cocaine, acid to name a few, infidelity and more.

There are events such as naked pub crawls where men old and young spend a afternoon naked transferring from bar to bar engaging in sexual acts together.

Besides activities like the naked pub crawl @burningman, there are multiple orgy camps where people go for the sole purpose to have sex with one another.
