every time someone abuses language meant to empower victims of actual trauma by letting them name and process their trauma, i lose one hit point. i'm at -4,000,000 hit points

gaslighting is not "someone lied to me" or "i didn't like a thing a person said". it's a very specific thing. dear god. fucking hell

i can't really talk about my ptsd triggers online because people have ruined the word trigger. it's frustrating having this language be co-opted by people who think ptsd is just "i'm upset about something"
