So this here is why twitter is pretty much useless for discourse. I know youâve seen this statement verbatim. 1/
There is so much wrong packed into a short little tweet that to unpack it is gong to take 10-20 tweets. At the end of which the response is the same tweet over again 2/
So, shall we do a little unpacking?First, consent:we can talk about how animals can consent, say yes or no obviously. The fact that no one cares about consent until they talk to a zoosexual. Never considering what that means if they do in fact believe to how they treat animals. 3/
This always leads to the animals are âlesser and dumbâ stuff which I hardly even want to dignify. 4/
How about the first half of that first sentence, âdifferent from other sexualitiesâ, how so? Rape is common in both the straight and LGB world. We should castigate abusers. Me being here means I firmly believe I am not raping, maybe engage a little with that and not assume? /5
Fhew, already five and Iâve presented no evidence or real arguement, just unpacked some thoughts. On to urges! This is a lovely little sentence, implying an othering of zoophiles from society and that urges are somehow evil and uncontrollable. 6/
If you have an urge to have sex with a person, do you go out and rape them? No? How do you control yourself since you imply urges are uncontrollable? Yeah, works that way for me too. You have just as many urges as me(probably more)! 7/
If my urges are so overwhelming, why did I wait until 22 to lose my virginity to a lovely mare? You envision me raping goats, and puppies and children all through my teens and that just doesnât happen. Urges,I hate the word as it is used on twitter, its so... fundie Christian. 8/
Which urges me to talk about the level of fundie gay bashing youâve absorbed. It is to the point you literally agree with them about these urges, you use their terminology and arguments. Theyâve hated you so long you nod and say maybe they have a point, but Iâm a good person. 9/
Theyâll have you back to missionary and only married bigender couples allowed to have sex. Of course, THAT youâll fight against because it personally effects you. Sexual rights are human rights, for all! 10/
Ahhh, the always favorite âget helpâ. Implying sexuality can be changed, weâre diseased, out of our minds. Itâs another of those lovely little phrases you like to use to dehumanize. Many of us have, and you donât like our answers, but you were never listening to begin with. 11/
At this point it would be good to point out, when the inevitable âthink of the animalsâ call comes that only part of the first sentence had anything to do with theoretically helping animals and would apply to any âuseâ of an animal including sex. (I hate saying use but society)12/
Anyhow, âGet helpâ also implies, be hidden, be hidden away, get locked up, etc. The worst thing for an anti is for a zoosexual to stand up, and âbe proudâ to just be themselves. That is the real message I see over and over again on twitter. Stay silent and weâll tolerate you. 13/
âIt isnât normalâ Meh, very little is, and as a statement of fact it is true. The âcool thingâ about this is that it is part of what leads us to fascist dogma of eugenics. I wonât say too much about what is normal because it ALWAYS bring out the Nazis. 14/
NAZIS! âHaâ you say. Iâve had far more conversations with people who literally turn out to be nazis than I have EVER wanted to. Words like degenerate and ânot normalâ bring them out. Iâm talking about literally 1488,swastika wearing,Jews did 9/11,Hitler was the good guy types.15/
That is the side you are on.
So, 16 tweets and I only unpacked what was said, didnât even really engage, argue and provide evidence. This is why twitter is so toxic to rational discussion. The worst part of it is that the questions I asked should have stirred thinking..16/

But they so seldom do. People do not question their own hatred. Youâd think more LGBT people would know thier history but the 80s and 90s kill most of those who really had to fight for their rights. 17/17
