In #Ramganj a radius of 2kms has a population of over 4 lakh people, mostly from minority community. It has contributed over 200 #COVIDー19 positive cases out of 221 from #Jaipur

Looking at turn of events and speaking to people and officials in #Ramganj it seems that the @RajGovOfficial is running a step behind. Despite dedication and efforts by the administrative machinery, the situation is worsening in absence of RUTHLESS CONTAINMENT @PoliceRajasthan

Over the last 2 days in #Ramganj mere random sampling is being done. This is for anyone willing to get checked irrespective of symptoms.This is also beyond the primary/secondary contacts of positives. Even then case the figures are alarming @rohitksingh #COVIDー19 @raghusharmainc

#Curfew has been implemented in #Ramganj BUT ONLY ON MAIN ROADS. Still people surrounding each other closely in smaller lanes everyday can be seen particularly in the evening. They run when they see police cars. Officials deployed say Convincing is not helping @PoliceRajasthan

Given the situation in #Ramganj #Curfew needs to be implemented with all the strictness in all the lanes. Additional police force can be deployed to do this for 2weeks.
Officials sense that this may be done after a few days, but then that would be a bit too late @PoliceRajasthan

#Ramganj is a Muslim majority area, govt. might have reservations for being too strict. Most of the officials r judging the situation based on the calm they see on the main roads. But that ain’t enough. Repeat RUTHLESS CONTAINMENT @PoliceRajasthan @ashokgehlot51 @rohitksingh
