The City name Jerusalem, where Jesus was put to death, in Hebrew means “In Awe of Peace.” Even more, the city in which he was born, Bethlehem, is also the place where the temple priests would buy their lambs (without blemish) for the passover sacrifice.
Jerusalem broken down, the word Jeru (ירה) actually pronounced “yara” as a verb means to throw or cast down and “shalem”(שלם) as a verb means to make whole or complete.
The Book of Isaiah (9:6), foretold of the crucifixion and about Jesus coming as the “Prince of Peace”. So not only did Isaiah speak about Jesus 700 yrs prior to arriving; but God told us where He would be born and where he would Die in the city names! How’s that for amazing?!?!
