I don't know if I have a thesis to this thread, but let's see where this goes...

What the fuck are we doing?

We have one presidential nominee who wants to pretend going back to 2015 is cool, while the other nominee (and current president) is a brain-dead lunatic

As supporting each, we have a bunch of ravenous partisan sheep who want to either "own the libs" or "impeach Drumpf"

Meanwhile...we have a goddamn pandemic raging across the country, tens of millions of people losing their jobs (and healthcare), and there is no end in sight

What's been done about it?

We've bailed out corporations. We've helped enrich the already absurdly rich. And we've loosely promised to give one-time scraps to people who need it.

Why are we accepting of this? Our leaders (politically and otherwise) are failing us

I don't know how (general strike?), but something needs to be done. We need to stop blindly apologizing for these people because they have an R or D next to their name. We need to demand more. People need money. People need healthcare. Workers need better protections.

This is where I come back to not having a thesis to this thread, so I'll just end here with a general...what the fuck are we doing?
