Matt Hancock announces that another 980 people have died as a result of #Covid19 in the UK. For the second day in a row, our death toll has exceeded the maximum number we’ve seen in either Italy or Spain.
We also know that deaths in the community (eg care homes) are taking place and not being accounted for as part of the figures.
The question will also be asked: to some extent we had time on our side. Why are our deaths similar to those those countries which didn’t (Italy) and against those countries (like us) which did (Germany/Denmark/Norway)?
