THINGS YOU NEED TO KNOW RE: UST's ICP MEMO

(Institutional Continuity Plan aka ECQ Response guidelines) – A Thread

*I'll be updating this as more information progresses, feel free to ask questions.
This is a flowchart for how Grades and INP works.

The grading system is unchanged. However if you exceed 3.0, you are considered "at risk of failing" which is criteria #2 for INP

The only thing that would show up in your TOR is either 1.0 to 3.0 or WP

Sorry lakong photoshop 😅
INP vs INC vs 5.0 vs FA

INP is NOT a failing grade, and is not an equivalent for a failing grade. It's only a place holder which will not show up in your transcript.
INP FACTS:
1. You can take ALL succeeding courses even if your INP is a pre-req.
2. Your INP course is NOT a unit that you will take next sem. You will not be overloading.
3. INP just means that your grade is "pending" and will be replaced by your actual grade once you comply.
If you still fail to comply with all your INP requirements by december, you will receive a grade of WP (Withdrawn with Permission aka "dropped" subject)

WP is NOT a failing grade.

The 2nd sem AY'19'20 subject that you dropped will have to be retaken by 2nd sem AY'20'21.
HOW WOULD ONLINE CLASSES WORK?

It CAN be:
a) Synchronous - Bb Collab, Zoom, FB live, IG TV
b) Asynchronous - YT, Pptx, PDF, etc.

Attendance is not required.

Grades will obe based on OUTPUTS through GRADABLE ASSESSMENTS. All of which may be submitted/accomplished AFTER the ECQ.
Choosing between Synchronous or Asynchronous classes is up to your prof's discretion, and the former is not mandatory but allowed.

I PERSONALLY SUGGEST that you speak to your class presidents so that they can ask your respective teachers to NOT OPT in for Synchronous learning.
REFUND OF APPLICABLE FEES

YES THERE WILL BE REFUNDS (read the memo pls lang).

Lab, miscellaneous, and other fees will be partially refunded.

OVRF will release details soon.
There will be classes after the quarantine which will address all the topics that learners need help with.

This also includes skills development in laboratory courses in order to address the experience (or lack thereof) deprived from students during the quarantine.
It would be called "audit classes" and are equivalents of review/ intervention/ bridging classes in order to make sure that students learned what they need to learn in case online set-up is not conductive for learning.
That's pretty much all of it for undergrads. There are nuances for Graduating Students and Grad School Students which I didn't include but you can see them here: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1a8Vyk04JSqMs91fUqzIVFRNNfvifHZty/view
If you have questions feel free to ask here or DM me :)

And I would encourage you to reach out to your profs/admin for more nuanced answers.
