So in the last ten minutes of the day yesterday one of the parts guys comes over and asks if I have copies of all the paid warranties on batteries.

Me: Yup, in my little file right there.

Him: Hmm, well, are they still pending?

M: Nope, everything is paid right now.
H: We had someone mention not seeing their credit.

M: Anytime I get payment I go right over to (their manager) and have him refund the customer and bill warranty. It's the first thing I do.

H: Well, we have some back there from Oct or Sept. that nothing's happened on.
M: I've never had to ship back a battery. So they can likely be disposed of.

H: But if their credits aren't to them...

Round and round. I finally said we'd look at it tomorrow because I felt we weren't talking about the same thing. But he kept on the credit thing.
And so I got to spend all night arguing with myself on where I likely messed up. Because warranty makes me dumb.

And also getting mad at several people around me who likely noticed something not being right for months and not saying anything.
This morning, the parts manager came over and was like "I'm going to try to rephrase what he was saying last night".

And like magic, what he said made sense.
First guy had been all about customer credits and refunds and sounding like my side was jumbled up and delaying things.
And it turns out....THEY never gave me paperwork for these batteries in October. Or several others.

They sat on a pallet in the back. Meant to magically get processed. I guess.

I dug through my whole pile of old claims to double check. Mine were all correct.
And it may be a little (a lot) petty, but I am so damn glad it's not my fault.

I was only sort of ready to take on owning that long of a dumb mistake.

Now their dept will likely have to eat the cost of that. But again...not my fault.
Does Twitter need to know any of this? No.

Is this thread more to feel like I got to vent this out to someone? Yes.
