Good morning, colleagues. Let's play a game. We'll call it the "Can LPB Be Outraged?" Game.

Rules: You tell me you are in a zoom class with each of the following students.

#lawtwitter
Student #1: Forgets he is on zoom and accidentally picks his nose. Can I be outraged?

My answer: No. I should feel compassion for the student and never mention it again. And I'd be upset if a student lacked compassion and reported it to @atlblog
Student #2: Starts to put on his KKK robe of ignorance during the zoom class. He's going to a rally afterward, you see.

My answer: I can be completely outraged. He has made many (and hopefully ALL) of the other students uncomfortable. Moreover, he knows it.
Student #3: Takes their zoom meeting into the restroom with them.

My answer: I cannot be outraged. Again, The prof and the other students should show compassion.
Student #4: Rolls their eyes every time another student talks.

My answer: The prof is not going to like that, but it's very hard to control those kinds of responses unless you've trained. I've seen colleagues do it on faculty meetings. You know, when I talk.
