To anyone who thinks Biden’s platform is as bad as Trump’s, ask yourself:

Do you know anyone who makes the minimum wage? Who can’t afford community college? Children who were separated from their parents at the border? Who can’t see their families bc of the Muslim Ban?

Do you know transgender people in the military? People whose access to SNAP has been cut off? Generations that will be impacted by climate change and NEED a Green New Deal? Do you know someone who couldn’t get a coronavirus test? Who lost their job these past few weeks?

(2/6)
Do you know someone who has been in a mass shooting? Someone who has experienced a hate crime or domestic terrorism? Who has felt unsafe because of the occupant of the White House? Do you know kids in public schools that aren’t getting funded?

The list goes on.

Even if Biden and Trump had the exact same platform (which they don’t), but Biden supported a $15 minimum wage, opposed the Muslim Ban, or believed in climate change (he does), I’d vote for Biden.

Not happily, but I care about material improvements to others’ lives.

Votes have consequences and people are directly impacted by those consequences.

Life is about choices — picking a worse or much worse option, not picking between perfect and imperfect.

“Fight for someone you dont know,” right?

I’d like you to look any of these people in the face, these people suffering under the Trump administration, whose lives are on the line, and tell them that improvements to their lives (no matter how big or small) are meaningless.

***Disclaimer:

I cannot vote and I am not telling you how to vote. I just think that these are things you should ask yourself and consider while making your decision. And I ask you not to equate Biden and Trump’s platform, for the reasons I stated above.
