〔 the baek yerin style 〕- trend observation

Recently there’s been a rise in 90’s- early 2000’s style, contributing to the rise of the retro, vintage and maximalism aesthetic

And this can be seen in a lot of Yerin’s fashion with sleeveless dresses/tops paired with cardigans, floral motif patterns, square/pentagon necklines, soft materials etc - a romantic and soft girly look with common motifs of butterflies and flowers

Dresses with flower motifs, satin/silk material, cardigans, frills and laces, square neck tops

Another common feature of the style is the pairing with long boots or boots that are chunky. This adds as a contrast to the mostly girly style but is also similar to the ugly shoes trend as more gravity shifts lower, the upper body tends to look thinner

Not only does it have a Spring season vibe, this style also has a music festival vibe to it as well, and other artistes like Joy and models like deer_deer have worn similar looks

And of course, many korean brands and shopping Malls have picked up on the trend; femmemuse, stylenanda, binary01, mixxmix etc selling similar cuttings, motifs, cardigan + sleeveless sets, making use of satin, chiffon, laces, shirrings etc

Other examples of such trend - it’s like a romantic girly daydream vibe mixed with a bit of grunge
