Authors:
- please, pretty please check journal guidelines before submitting your work. It will make editors happy, reviewers will smile and your review will move faster
- acronyms and abbreviations should be used w care.
- KEY WORDS ARE IMPORTANT. Here is why: 2/
As an editor, I have access to a wonderful database. And guess what I use to search for reviewers? Key words. So use them nicely, thoughtfully, because they do matter.

Then... for every article that you submit, consider reviewing abt 3. Science takes a village. 3/
Reviewers:

- it is absolutely ok to say "no" to review a paper. We are busy, the paper is not in your area, life happens. But... think abt this: we spend a lot of time finding a name to review a paper (A LOT OF TIME). So ... 4/
if you reject to review a paper, see if you can at least recommend someone? Give me a name/email & help a friend here.

- if you do review, we editors lean on you. Take time to really read the paper and 5/
And be nice. I have been reviewer 3 😑and am working on it. You can provide detailed feedback + be nice.

It takes a village.
just remember that for every submission, review and handling of a ms, there is someone behind the emails.
