It appears the American people are on our own until Trump is out of office. Reporting indicates even Republicans are trying to get him to bring in experts, incl Obama or W, but he is obstinate. We are going to have to do our best to take care of each other and stay at home.

It is unthinkable, but it is our reality-the worst case-that Trump and the federal gov't are abandoning us and we will need to count on a patchwork of state gov'ts to see this through.

A word of caution on "flattening" - 50 states and all their cities cannot be blended

into one curve as a reliable measure. As the killer virus ebbs in NY, WA who were hit early, it is just starting in major cities like Philly and Baltimore, and 2/3 of rural counties have their first cases Those number will rise in the coming weeks. Do not get complacent!

Sadly, until we have testing that is reliable (30% of tests giving false negatives), accessible and giving quick results, we can't talk about reopening. Trump isn't doing anything. We'll need to count on our governors. NY/NJ/CT underway on this. Until then stay TF home!

And finally, Trump is never going to rise to the occasion. Under him we have lost 17 million jobs, but more importantly 17,000 Americans are dead. He must be defeated in a landslide of historic proportion in November. And McConnell, Graham, Collins and his enablers as well.
