[non-COVID content] About a year ago I moved to Shivaji Park. Noticed a building in the area with a peculiar name.
A simple google search shows that's it's a non-descript town in Germany. It came up in conversation with a friend, who said that 'back in the day' brahmin Nazi sympathisers were aplenty, as they bought into Hitler's notion of superior and inferior races.
So like, adapting German words and icons apparently became a thing? Like, look at this plaque that's *pretty* visible, right in the middle of Mahim causeway

Sorry I took the picture from a moving car but in the brackets it says German Parkar Chowk.
And this, the piece de resistance (pun extremely not intended). Like, I know the swastika is a common Hindu symbol but the tilted one? There's only one place that's famously used.
Anyway, my plan was to walk around dadar and hopefully find more stuff like this, but I guess that'll have to wait. If you know anything about this please tell!!! I'm utterly fascinated.
