1. Let's talk about the Commission on Presidential Debates for a minute. Do you know the history behind this powerful organization? https://twitter.com/debates/status/1182695650661720064
2. CPD is a corporation established in 1987 by cosponsorship of the @TheDemocrats & @GOP. Prior to this time, the debates were sponsored by the @LWV (League of Women Voters.) So what happened and why did the responsibility change hands?

3. According to a 1988 news release from @LWV, they withdrew their sponsorship because they "refused to perpetuate a fraud."

4. The CPD has controlled the debates, ever since, including the criteria for inclusion in them. So who controls this organization? A quick look at their About page will give you an idea.
But what's more interesting are the sponsors, some of which have been major contributors, year after year.

These include names like, Howard G. Buffett, son of the 4th wealthiest man in the entire world, and @AnheuserBusch, who has utilized the debates to advertise against taxing beer.
Who else will contribute to the fleecing of America this year?

Why should we be concerned about this? There are many ethical problems with an organization that is heavily influenced by donors adminstering debates. By controlling what, who and how the people hear, they can influence, if not altogether control the outcome.
In the past, CPD filed criminal charges and had candidates arrested like @RalphNader & @DrJillStein for trying to participate. Dissent from the duopoly is firmly silenced. When will the people take action and power away from corporate entities to regain control of our elections?
