Well, just found out an extremely expensive medical thing that shorty needs isn't covered by his insurance. Great.
So, this was about a heart murmur, but: I've also discovered that IF Short Round has Intervertebral Disc Disease, which is common in Dachshunds, my insurance doesn't cover it. That's because he had a minor injury and the vet put it down as a "preliminary diagnosis."
This happened after I had insurance, but within a 30-day "waiting period," during which any diagnoses are now "pre-existing."
My main vet actually thinks he DOESN'T have IVDD (at least not yet), but it's in his paperwork from the vet emergency room, and that's all that matters.

This is a long-winded way of saying there may come a time -- maybe years from now -- when I use GoFundMe to help with a $7,000-$12,000 spinal surgery for Shorty that's not covered by insurance. If/when I do, please remember every time you awwwwwed at one of his photos. Thank you.
The fact that I did not include a cute photo of Shorty with every tweet in this thread shows how bad I'm going to be at pumping you all for money for him.
