My grandpa's side of the family are not religious folks but they are the calmest and most grounded folks I've ever met. My Paw Paw said that a man came over to his house as a kid and tried to convert his dad is Christianity

And kept talking about the Bible and asked my great-grandpa if he had ever read it. My great-grandpa said, "Yes and it's a really good story."

My Paw Paw and Maw Maw were complete opposites but they worked. She was all about the Lord and making sure we got to church and had access to sermons via VHS or cassette tape. Paw Paw was like and still is like, "Meh, I believe in good and bad."
