During a class on zoom, a student cleans his guy with a guest spreader, a US Judge presents. The students in the class a upset.

This is zoombombing by hijacking attention and disrupting the class.

Zoom bombing is a sociotechnical problem. The technology provided a bridge between all these adults who would not have gotten together otherwise. Granted people were using the technology as directed, but the social norms of the classroom have not carried over.
Harvard Law (and other schools) would do well to send around a set of rules, so that this doesn’t happen again.

We know that media manipulation like this will inspire copycats, which will lead to more press because it’s disgusting.
I was struck with a detail in the article, where a student said that they didn’t want to see their classmate shoot themselves. This comment is revealing of another potential danger inherent in the features of the sociotechnical system.
