I am so sick of this mindset. Just because I don't use my platform to hate on others even though they hate on us, that does not make me a less a patriot than you.

+ No one has forgotten what has happened to Kurds. Thousands and thousands have given their lives for the greater Kurdistan, including many of my family members.

We are a new generation, we have the chance to learn from their mistakes, we can do better, we can BE better.

Insulting Iraq causes more hate towards Kurds/Kurdistan. We can't hope for independence by violence. We can advocate for our rights by being diplomats. To achieve better we must work together.

History has repeatedly shown us nationalism leads to wars with millions of casualties.

In Europe when nationalism was as it's strongest we saw ww1, causing 20+ million deaths.

Greater horror was when Hitler rallied the people with the cause of German superiority. Hitler relied on German nationalism. This slowly led to 85 million deaths.

+ a point I forgot to talk about is the Assyrian genocide. Please stop dismissing it. If no one, we Kurds should acknowledge it since we've had our fair share of them.

• The Assyrian civilian population of upper Mesopotamia were forcibly relocated and massacred by the Ottoman army, together with armed and allied Muslim peoples, Kurds & Circassians.

• The genocide known as 'Seyfo' was between 1914-1920 with a death toll of around 300,000. In some cities, all Assyrian men were slain &the women were forced to flee.
• These massacres were often carried out upon the initiatives of local politicians and Kurdish tribes.
