I'm FINALLY OFF state parole today, after 4 1/2 years! I never thought I would walk that paper off. It was almost harder than the 2 years in state prison. It's kinda trash I got my freedom back during a state lockdown but, I'm still grateful.
I really don't talk about it but, idc anymore. In 2013, I got an aggravated assault on a police officer. 10 seconds changed my entire life. I did 2 years in state prison. I got paroled with a long tail in 2015. They were waiting for me to make a mistake with that long tail.
I didn't though. I changed my lifestyle around. Its fucking trash being a felon and having limitations but, I learned from it. I've had the same job for 4 1/2 years and accomplished more in that time than I ever did my entire life of doing dirt.
This thread is getting corny but, idc. I'm proud of myself today. This shit wasn't easy for me. Thank you @JaymeeJedi for being there through it all with me. I know it probably got old talking to my PO during those house visits. I'm eternally grateful.
