Following the example of @cstross, I'm going to tweet every book I've written, one tweet per book.
1) The Last Reef & Other Stories (Elastic Press, 2008). A collection of my early short fiction from Interzone and elsewhere. Now out of print.
2) Silversands (Pendragon Press, 2010). An explosion on her starship strands Avril Bradley in a world of political intrigue where retired cops, digital ghosts and corporate assassins fight for possession of computer data that has lain undisturbed for over a century.
3) The Recollection (Solaris, 2011). This is the book I consider my first proper novel. It's the one where I found my voice, and I'm still very fond of it. The main action follows a London taxi driver and failed artist as he travels through a series of portals into the future.
4) Ack-Ack Macaque (Solaris, 2013). Ex-journalist Victoria Valois finds herself drawn into a deadly game of cat and mouse with the man who butchered her husband and stole her electronic soul.
5) Hive Monkey (Solaris, 2014). When one of their passengers is murdered by his own doppelganger, Victoria and her monkey companion are thrust into a race to save the world from an aggressive hive mind.
6) Macaque Attack (Solaris, 2015). Victoria Valois finds herself facing old enemies as she fights to save the electronic ghost of her dead husband, and the Earth receives troubling news from the dead sands of Mars...
7) Entropic Angel (NewCon Press, 2017). My second collection of short fiction, including the BSFA Award-shortlisted 'Ride The Blue Horse.'
8) Embers of War (Titan Books, 2018). In the aftermath of a terrible war, the battleship Trouble Dog resigns her commission and dedicates herself to saving lives. But when a rescue mission goes wrong, she finds she'll have to fight to preserve interstellar peace.
9) Fleet of Knives (Titan Books, 2019). Trouble Dog and her crew race to save a team of scavengers trapped aboard an ancient generation ship filled with deadly horrors.
10) Ragged Alice (Tor. Com Publishing, 2019). An alcoholic detective with a peculiar talent returns to the small town where she grew up in order to investigate what seems to be a simple hit-and-run, but which soon escalates into something deadlier and unexpectedly personal.
11) About Writing (Luna Press, 2019). A practical, insprirational field guide for aspiring authors, drawing from my own experience in order to help and encourage others.
12) Light of Impossible Stars (Titan Books, 2020). Hunted and low on fuel, Trouble Dog seeks refuge in The Intrusion - and area of space where reality itself becomes unstable. But how can one battered old ship save human civilisation?
Plus, 2021 will see another novel from Titan Books, and Light Chaser, the novella I co-wrote with Peter F Hamilton, from Tor. Com...
