The Cis: Sorry, do you mean a person who self indicates their identity to be a human woman but he was born as a man and is now a transgender?

Me: A man. A trans man. A man who is also transgender.

The Cis: I'm confused
Me: *sigh* A man who was assigned female at birth but identifies as male.

The Cis: Oh! I wasn't sure if you were referring to a transgender who transed away from being a man!

Me: WHY WOULD I BE REFERRING TO A PERSON BY THE WRONG GENDER
