With @UKLabour's new Shadow Cabinet in place, we've looked at the stats behind the appointments.

The new Shadow Cabinet is notable for its gender balance.

Labour has never had a permanent woman leader (although @HarrietHarman was acting leader), but @Keir_Starmer has achieved a 50/50 split of women & men around his team's table. (2/4)
Just one-third of the Shadow Cabinet have been MPs under a Labour government.

They are not lacking experience though, with all having held the roles as Shadow Ministers or Select Committee Chairs. Some also served in Blair / Brown administrations as non-elected officials.
MPs from Northern seats are well represented in the Shadow Cabinet, meaning the voice of constituencies similar to those lost in the 2019 GE will be heard.

Also worth noting that @UKLabour's one remaining Scottish MP @IanMurrayMP has been made Shadow Scotland Secretary
