Going to give some thoughts about #NoDetrimentIE because I know there is a lot of talk about that right now across Irish colleges. @TheUSI did a lot of research into what these policies detailed in the colleges where they had been introduced. The content of the policies (1)

and measures introduced varied from college to college but the title was consistent and I think that has caused some confusion.There is no one size fits all 'No Detriment' policy that can be introduced across all colleges. However, that doesn't mean that there are no measures (2)

that can be introduced to support students. In fact, the opposite is true. There are measures that can be introduced but they need to be developed within each Institution. Those measures need to ensure that no student faces any academic disadvantage because of #COVID-19. (3)
